I seem to be having a slight problem looking at Atril's answer.
He's sort of saying, "All this modern technology means nothing to me!" whilst standing in front of a massive supercomputer.
It just seems a tad odd...

Dregan: Well that's because he's just so stupid that he thinks it's an incredibly well decorated wall.

The fact that magic can often do things that technology can't is often overshadowed by the opposite...that technology can often do things that magic can't.

For instance, technology has a rather easy time storing HUGE amounts of data...magic has a harder time with that. Atril still uses technology but not the kind that makes life simpler...like appliances. Why cook a burger on the grill when you can basically summon a furnace? Why store things in a fridge when there is an equally useful food-replicator? These are the things that are beyond him. Things we take for granted. That and he basically has no use for food...he's a vamp, remember?

Ever considered some household appliances apply to more than just making food, right? XD

<.<

Now that would just be practical. Who needs that XD
