THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!... I've never done that on the internet before. But seriously I like to have my sprites at atleast X400 so i can do decent facial expresions

BreakerLOLZ, January 10th, 2010, 10:13 pm

Panels don't have to be so big, though. And you can get decent facial expressions at 300% zoom.

Imperial, January 10th, 2010, 10:15 pm

tried that his muzzle's too small, but you're right about the panels

This question has already passed. Form of discipline shall be decided by comiclord dregan

Imperial, January 10th, 2010, 11:40 pm

it did not for me it's still sunday

Dregan, January 11th, 2010, 2:50 am

@Imperial: That point might've stood some ground if I didn't say the question update was 00.01 GMT, GMT being a key part of that. As it is, this is about 3 hours and 20 or so minutes late...
Please, in future, CHECK if the new question is already up to the general viewing public. Whilst it still says above the question 'This comic will be revealed at blah-de-blah specific time' then you may update. If it has already passed that point, and the question is viewable to the public, then it is too late.
Now, I don't want to go all domineering and controlling here, so I won't really be doing much in the way of discipline for now, as Floo suggested, however, I will ask you to be careful in future, and keep an eye on whether or not the question has already gone up.

You don't have to make your sprites smaller! I've had this problem with my own comic (Not sprites, but still, waaaaay too big). The solution is not just drawing smaller things. Make the comic, add expression, then just shrink it. Open in Paint and Stretch by 75% or something like that.
Or, you could make your lines shorter by having more, and then get rid of some of that ground and sky. If nothing's happening in it, it's unneccesary.

Dregan, January 11th, 2010, 2:42 pm

Stretching and shrinking with sprites in that method generally isn't advised. Due to the pixel-precision, anything which isn't multiplied in 100%s (so basically, 100% size, 200% size, 300% size, etc. etc.) looks kind of warped.

:/ You should all just draw things like normal people.

And me.
